The Women's Encampment for a Future of Peace and Justice 1983
The women’s peace camp in Romulus, NY was established in the summer of 1983 to oppose Cruise and Pershing (nuclear) missiles stored at a depot army base in this rural community near Seneca Lake. Over 12,000 women participated in the camp's activities and creative protests, drawing national attention and forcing the eventual closing of the depot.

The Peace Camp Book
During the first summer's encampment, I collected photographs and narratives from women at the encampment and edited the materials into a book that Temple University Press published in 1987.
